Sharleen Wanjiku Mandu is honored to serve as the Deaconess of Ushering. She has been married to her husband, Davy, for a little over three years.
Her journey to this ministry is a testimony of God’s steadfast mercy and grace. During & after high school, Sharleen experienced a deeply isolating season in which God felt distant and she felt lost in sin. Yet between 2014 and 2016, God graciously opened her eyes to the truth that freedom is found in Christ alone, bringing transformation to her heart and, in time, to her husband’s as well.
Though naturally introverted, she has found in ushering a meaningful avenue through which God continues to stretch and grow her beyond her comfort zone, reminding her daily that His grace is sufficient.
As she serves in this role, Sharleen’s desire is to serve faithfully, to make much of God, and to see Him build His church, while continually learning to rest more deeply in His sovereignty displayed in the Gospel of the Lord Jesus.
