Alfred is married to Wangare and together they are raising their daughter Wema Wakio.
Alfred came to the faith in high school after a visiting preacher made plain the gospel. Until that point he had never really considered the necessity of a personal walk with God, but at this point it became clear why Jesus Christ came and died a substitutionary death, that all who would believe in Him would be made right with God.
He served with a youth group between 2015-2020 that was actively involved in high school and campus ministry. During this time, he experienced a painful providence that awakened him to his deficient understanding of scripture. In 2021 God led him and his wife to Emmanuel Baptist Church, where the faithful proclamation of God’s word was graciously used to work in him a deep appreciation of the gospel and church life.
In 2023, he and his wife formed the core group that planted North Point Baptist Church. Since then, it has been a joy for them to be part of the life of the church, loving the saints and being loved by them. On 19 April 2026, the church called him to serve as one of its elders.
Alfred studied Mathematics and Computer Science at Kenyatta University and has since worked in IT within the banking sector.
